Malayalam Lyrics
Sleeva Dahwa Lan is an Aramaic (East Syriac) song sung by Mar Thoma Nasranis (St. Thomas Christians), during the Veneration of the Cross during the Rasa Qurbana. (Suriyani version of the Song Nadhanil Ennum Nammude Hrudhayam).
Note : The following hymn lyrics are written to make singing vocally easier. Characters have been re-organized / changed to sing with the near correct pronunciation.

MALAYALAM TRANSLATION
നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയം കര്‍ത്താവില്‍ ആനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ. (സങ്കി 33:21)
സ്ലീവാ നമുക്ക് അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ ഉറവിടമാകുന്നു. അതുവഴി മര്‍ത്യഗണം രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. കര്‍ത്താവേ, ഈ സ്ലീവാ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഉറപ്പുള്ള കോട്ടയായിരിക്കട്ടെ. അതുവഴി ഞങ്ങള്‍ പിശാചിനെയും അവന്റെ കെണികളെയും പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തട്ടെ. (1 കൊറി 1: 18- 25)
അവിടുത്തെ തിരുനാമത്തില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ ശരണപ്പെടുന്നു.
സ്ലീവാ നമുക്ക് അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ ഉറവിടമാകുന്നു. അതുവഴി മര്‍ത്യഗണം രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. കര്‍ത്താവേ, ഈ സ്ലീവാ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഉറപ്പുള്ള കോട്ടയായിരിക്കട്ടെ. അതുവഴി ഞങ്ങള്‍ പിശാചിനെയും അവന്റെ കെണികളെയും പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തട്ടെ.
പിതാവിനും പുത്രനും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനും സ്‌തുതി.
ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷകനായ മിശിഹായേ, നിന്റെ കരുണയാല്‍ തിരുസ്സഭയെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കണമേ. നിന്റെ ബഹുമാനത്തിനായി പ്രതിഷ്‌ഠിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ നിന്റെ കാരുണ്യം നിവസിപ്പിക്കണമേ. അതിനുള്ളില്‍ നിന്റെ ബലിപീഠത്തെ ഉറപ്പിക്കണമേ. അതിന്മേല്‍ നിന്റെ ശരീര രക്തങ്ങള്‍ സാഘോഷം പരികര്‍മ്മം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നു.
ആദിമുതല്‍ എന്നേക്കും ആമ്മേന്‍
ചോദിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കു ലഭിക്കും. അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര്‍ കണ്ടെത്തും. ഇപ്രകാരം നിന്റെ ദാസരോടു കാരുണ്യപൂര്‍വ്വം വാഗ്‌ദാനം ചെയ്‌ത കര്‍ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങ ളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളാല്‍ നിന്റെ തിരുഹിതം നിറവേറ്റാന്‍ ആവശ്യകമായ ശക്തിയും സഹായവും നിന്നോടു ഞങ്ങള്‍ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. (മത്താ 7:7-8)
ജനങ്ങളെല്ലാം ആമ്മേന്‍ ആമ്മേന്‍ എന്ന് ഉദ്ഘോഷിക്കട്ടെ. (സങ്കീ 106:48)

And our hearts will rejoice in it.
The Cross that has been the cause of our good
and by which our mortal humanity was set free.
O Lord, be for us a strong fortress;
and by this Cross, we shall overcome the wicked one
and all his devices.
